Data Deletion & Account Closure

1. Your Right to Data Deletion
Under the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173), you have the right to request the deletion or removal of your personal data from our systems. EASTCASH LENDING CORPORATION ("EastCash") respects your data rights and provides a clear process for requesting data deletion and account closure.
2. Eligibility for Data Deletion
You may request data deletion and account closure if:
a) You have no outstanding loan balance or pending repayments;
b) You have no ongoing disputes or complaints under investigation;
c) All financial obligations to EASTCASH LENDING CORPORATION have been fully settled;
d) Your account is not subject to any legal hold, regulatory investigation, or court order.
3. How to Request Data Deletion
To request data deletion and account closure, follow these steps:
Submit a Written Request
Send an email to [email protected] with the subject line "Data Deletion Request". Include your full name, registered phone number, and email address associated with your EastCash account.
Identity Verification
For security purposes, we will verify your identity by asking you to provide a copy of a valid government-issued ID and answer security questions related to your account.
Account Review
Our team will review your account to confirm there are no outstanding obligations, pending transactions, or regulatory holds that would prevent deletion.
Confirmation & Processing
Once verified and approved, we will process your data deletion request within thirty (30) business days. You will receive a confirmation email upon completion.
4. Scope of Data Deletion
Upon successful processing of your request, the following data will be permanently deleted:
a) Personal profile information (name, address, employment details);
b) KYC documents (uploaded ID photos and selfie);
c) Contact information (phone number, email address);
d) Device fingerprint data;
e) Login credentials and session data.
5. Data Retained After Deletion
In compliance with Philippine laws and regulations, certain data may be retained even after account closure:
a) Transaction records: Loan and repayment records must be retained for a minimum of five (5) years as required by the Anti-Money Laundering Act and BSP regulations;
b) Tax-related records: Financial records required for tax compliance must be retained as mandated by the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR);
c) Legal compliance data: Any data required to comply with court orders, legal proceedings, or regulatory investigations;
d) Anonymized/aggregated data: Statistical data that cannot be used to identify you may be retained for analytical purposes.
6. Consequences of Account Closure
Please be aware that upon account closure and data deletion:
a) You will no longer be able to access your EastCash account;
b) Any unused credit limit or pre-approved loan offers will be cancelled;
c) Your credit history with EastCash will not be available for future applications;
d) This action is irreversible — you will need to create a new account and complete KYC again if you wish to use our services in the future.
